3-Year Program
Students are introduced to the ever growing array of new media forms. Students who are interested in becoming producers, directors, journalists, website designers, and multimedia artists can explore their interests in these pathways.
Our Teachers
All of our teachers have years of experience with the Adobe suite software and have endorsements in layout and design.
Michael Edwards
Mr. Edwards has been teaching design over 27 years at Steinmetz. He is an Adobe Certified Associate through Certiport. Before teaching, he worked 3 years for a small printing business, Nierman Printing as a Processing Manager. He left the private industry to become an educator through the CPS Teachers for Chicago Program.
During his leisure time, he works out daily and spends time one day each week at the movies. He's married with two kids, a son and daughter.
Erin Wehmer
Ms. Erin Wehmer is in her seventh year of teaching. Currently, she teaches Digital Media II and III, as well as Computer Science. Prior, She taught English 1-4 and Journalism. Before becoming an educator, she worked for five years in corporate marketing and was trained in using the Adobe Suite and in layout design. She loves working with Steinmetz's creative students and seeing the awesome designs they come up with!
Outside of school She loves to go to live concerts (mostly country music!), study interior design and spend time with my family and friends.
